An S-Class no longer has to prove to anyone what it is. For generations, it has stood for poise, comfort, and technological excellence. With the comprehensive facelift, Mercedes-Benz has clearly evolved its design language—creating the foundation for a completely reimagined ROLFHARTGE Edition.

From the outset, our ambition was clear: not to overstate what already exists, but to highlight its character with intent. That’s why the new ROLFHARTGE Edition based on the S-Class W223 facelift is not a loud counter-design to the production model. It’s a tasteful interpretation for people who recognize quality and special details without needing them explained.

A new ROLFHARTGE design language

The Edition’s design language was consistently aligned with the current Mercedes-Benz design. Rather than simply adding individual elements, a cohesive overall look was created: clear, modern, and precisely proportioned.

A distinctive detail is the new ROLFHARTGE True Carbon Waves in the front bumper. Their flowing shape picks up the vehicle’s lines and adds a signature accent without dominating the S-Class’s original design.

ROLFHARTGE True Carbon mirror caps and the subtly executed True Carbon rear spoiler continue this line. A finely crafted metal ROLFHARTGE script makes the spoiler recognizable as part of the Edition only at second glance.

All carbon components are handcrafted in Germany. The precise workmanship and visible depth of the material stand for a kind of exclusivity that doesn’t need to be staged.

The right balance

The visual focal point is the ROLFHARTGE flow-forged wheel set in the “Number ONE” design in anthracite. Its clear, powerful styling blends harmoniously with the S-Class proportions and gives it a more commanding stance.

Up front, 9 × 21-inch ET33 wheels are fitted with 255/35 R21 tires. At the rear, 10 × 21-inch ET52 wheels with 285/30 R21 tires underscore the confident presence.

The flow-forged process creates a high-strength wheel set with reduced weight. The lower unsprung mass supports balanced rolling comfort—an essential aspect in a vehicle whose character is defined not only by its looks, but above all by its exceptional calm and poise.

Distinctive down to the details

The branding also follows the understated overall concept. The ROLFHARTGE radiator grille emblem replaces the standard Mercedes-Benz emblem. Added to this are a body-color hood emblem and a dedicated ROLFHARTGE emblem on the trunk.

This creates a clearly recognizable ROLFHARTGE Edition without distorting the familiar appearance of the S-Class. The changes remain deliberately precise and restrained. What matters is not the number of details, but their combined effect.

Comfort you can feel

Inside, the Edition’s distinctive character continues through selected comfort features. A luxurious high-pile mat set “Made in Germany” in anthracite combines exceptionally pleasant feel with high-quality craftsmanship.

ROLFHARTGE plush cushions with an embossed RHR emblem enhance the S-Class travel experience, especially in the rear. They are a small but deliberately chosen detail for those moments when comfortable mobility becomes true calm.

Surface protection and air quality

The Edition package also includes ROLFHARTGE SURFACE+ liquid-glass surface protection. The ultra-thin high-tech finish is based on technology from the medical field and creates an easy-to-clean surface. It reduces the adhesion and spread of dirt, bacteria, and viruses on frequently touched surfaces.

The concept is complemented by the mobile ROLFHARTGE AELUS air purifier. Its HEPA H13 filter and integrated photocatalytic chamber reduce, among other things, fine dust, germs, odors, and volatile organic compounds—so-called VOCs. Thanks to its compact design, AELUS can be used not only in the vehicle, but also in the office, hotel, or at home.

The new ROLFHARTGE S-Class Edition is not aimed at those who want to stand out at any cost. It is made for people who appreciate proportions, materials, and precisely crafted details.

It changes the S-Class where it serves the overall look—and deliberately preserves everything that defines its distinctive character.
